Finca Constancia is named after a sentence in a letter written by the founder of González Byass, Manuel María González Angel, who once said "I cannot think of a better business than making wine and to it I dedicate my life." He founded the company in 1835 with his English agent, Robert Blake Byass. Since then five generations have followed this philosophy.

In the recent past González Byass won the International Wine & Spirit Competition's Winemaker of the Year and the Spanish Wine Producer trophies in 2010. The Finca Constancia estate is situated in the province of Toledo some 60 miles from Madrid in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain.

This wine has a deep cherry red colour with a sumptuous blend of ripe juicy blackberries, plums and soft vanilla flavours. Full-bodied with hints of oak and a luscious, long spicy finish. Part of the blend is aged for five months in French and American oak.

Tempranillo-Cabernet Sauvignon blends can be considered Spain's version of the Bordeaux blend (Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon). Tempranillo adds the fruit flavour whilst Cabernet provides the structure. This wonderful combination is the reason why this particular blend is so popular.

Perfect on its own or with rich tomato sauces or succulent red meat dishes.

Serve slightly chilled (16°C).
