Dark red colour, silky tannins with flavours of pepper and plums.
Why you'll love it
Translated as "Black of Avola", Nero d'Avola is the most important and widely planted grape in Italy's Southern-most province, Sicily. Taking its name from the historic town of Avola in Sicily this grape has been used in winemaking for centuries. So named for it's distinctive dark skin, it is often used to add colour and body to other wines.
This wine has a peppery aroma filled with red fruits. It has sweet tannins and a dry full body. Perfect with red meat dishes.
Serve slightly chilled (16°C to 18°C).
